Originally from Pennsylvania, I relocated to North Carolina with my family in the late 1970’s. Growing up in a small town outside of Winston-Salem, I had a great childhood, lots of friends and always busy. Generally speaking, I liked living in the Piedmont, but I always longed for the coast. A once-a-year beach vacation just wasn’t enough, and after many weekend trips to visit my older brother attending UNC Wilmington, I soon realized that this is where I, too, wanted to live. Wilmington had everything I wanted in a place to call home…a charming historic downtown set against the backdrop of the Cape Fear Riverfront; the white sandy beaches peppered with smiling faces of all ages; a small town feel, but with all the dining, shopping, entertainment and recreation options one could want; a climate conducive to outdoor activities throughout most of the year, and the friendliest mix of people you could ever hope to meet.
During my college years at UNCW, I worked alongside my brother in his business that he started from scratch in the early 1990’s. It is a moving and storage business, but specializes in a “white glove” handling service offered to interior decorators and designers. The many relationships formed with this clientele, as well as my involvement with their work, created a love for design and style that I find useful in my business today, especially while staging homes for sale. After getting my degree in 1998, I partnered with my mother (an established entrepreneur in Winston-Salem) and 2 older brothers (both independent business owners too), to form an import company specializing in high-end furnishings and accessories. We were fortunate enough to visit and work directly with several factories in the Philippines and Mexico. It was an exciting opportunity to travel and learn a new business. It also turned out to be my first opportunity to gain professional experience in sales. I quickly learned that good customer service, hard earned trust, and effective communication were very important to me and my career. Just as important, in fact, as the product line I was selling.
Since transferring into Real Estate, I‘ve found those same qualities and characteristics to be as important as ever. I am my business and my service is my product line. As realtors, we all have the same land and the same homes to offer, but it is our service that differentiates us. I pride myself in partnering with my clients to achieve a common goal, whether buying or selling. It’s important for me to earn a client’s trust, using my resources at hand, market knowledge, expertise, and most importantly, listening to my client, while providing great customer service along the way. If you are looking for your dream home, or just your next home; If you are looking to get your home sold for the most amount of money possible, or to get it sold as quickly as possible; If you are looking to invest in real estate, whether a seasoned pro, or a first-timer; If you are having trouble and looking to understand your options, including understanding short sales and foreclosures; get yourself a partner who can work with you through these important financial decisions.
I take pride in my service, and I look forward to working with you!
